Eco-Friendly Wedding Finds from Etsy - Dresses

This is the first in what will be an ogoing collection of eco-friendly wedding finds from Etsy.com.  With this collection, I hope to be inspired by some amazingly talented folks who are conscious of our environment; while also providing inspiration to brides with the same mind set.

Today's finds are wedding dresses that have been upcycled, are made of locally-grown organic cotton or feature other eco-friendly features.  I had a ton of fun finding these gowns - enjoy!

HIPPIE
Dress it up for a wedding, dress is down for a day on the town!
This wedding dress from Ruby Chic Originals was made using a vintage, hand-crocheted shawl that the designer purchased second-hand. 



GARDEN
This beautifully light dress from Solitary Pearl is perfect for an outdoor wedding and is made of certified organic, eco-dyed cotton that was mantufactured in the USA.


MERMAID
This mermaid style eco wedding dress from Pure Magnolia Couture is made with raw Hemp Silk, which is a blend of 60% hemp and 40% silk.


FLIRTY
This fantastically flirty dress is right up my style alley (plus I love that wall - is it for hire?).  From Threadhead out of Knoxville, TN, this dress is called Anna and features organic cotton with an unbleached silk chiffon overlay and is fully lined in organic cotton.  And the bonus?  It is also available in black - I can see this being a great dress for an evening out!


A-LINE
This classic dress from Natural Bridals in Atlanta, GA is made from a hemp/silk blended fabric featuring a hand-sewn, organic linen flower. I absolutely love this dress!


VINTAGE
This dress with a 1950s vibe from P1xie of Portland, Oregon is made of hemp and has a golden sheen.


BOHEMIAN
Made using layers of vintage and recycled fabrics and laces, this ivory dress from ktjean is a real beauty!
